I've had the 8.8's installed and all was working fine then I tried to update to the 8.10's . Just couldn't get them to work at all. Kept getting 'No ATI driver is installed or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate to you ATI hardware. Tried all the usual stuff with driver cleaner etc.

After a couple of hours trying to get it to work I managed to get the 8.8's back on again and all works ok again.

Anyone have any idea why I get this problem, are there known issues with this combination ?

Oh yeah I should have mentioned I tried to put the hotfix driver on first and got the same error message. I tried the 8.10's next but had the same problem. I was quite relieved to be able to get the 8.8's back on again.

I've been googling the error message and it looks like a lot of people have this problem but I can't work out if it's a Vista or ATI problem.
