Just got back from this show, thought it was pretty good, most games were there to be played and I got a good chunk out of the games. My impressions on these games:

LittleBig Planet-Day 1 buy for me:D Only managed to play 1 level of it with 2 people, but the creativity of the level and the customizibility and amount of options you have is just amazing! Wasn't 100% sure before on vids, but now this has made me definetly want it.

Call of Duty World at War-Got to play about 10 mins of this in MP, Graphics are very nice, good improvement, and multiplayer is pretty fun.

new GRID succesor (I think? Race Pro or something)-If this was the successor to GRID, then they are back on track!!!:D Handling is top notch, realistic turning, if you overdo it you spin, you can lock up wheels etc. Loads of classes to choose from and generally very fun.

Mirrors Edge-This demo was very fun to play, but I will not be buying it because it just seems like a game that will lose interest after a while because there isn't much variety. The movement and free running is very fluid and fresh, maybe worth a rent but not a buy from what I've played.

Resident Evil 5-This is really the big game, isn't it:p I think it's living up to it's hype, its amazing! Controls on the 360 version I played were a bit dodgy, and the way the character moves can take some getting used to, but the gameplay is as good as ever, looking to be a cracker!

These are the main, big games that were played, loved the show, and for Resi 5, LittleBig Planet and that racing game, they have persuaded me to buy them!!

I am going tomorrow.

What were the queues like? Did you get to try Killzone 2 or Street Fighter IV ? Also is there any free stuff?

Queues are dependant on the game, games like FIFA 09 only have 2 people around or on it at a time, whereas Street fighter IV has a line to wait in to play it (they are in arcade style machines, stick and buttons...:)
Waited about 20 mins to play Killzone 2 cause there was a guy in front of me, kept dying and restarting about 5 time:mad: Finally came to my turn, and just as he was finishing, it system errored:(
Free stuff, I think there was a few, definately loads of adverts, posters, etc.

You just want to get load of free dvds and sell em, or take them back to a record store like I did lol.

Race Pro is made by a company called Sim Bin who made GTR1 and GTR2 for the PC.
They specalize in car race simulators so Race Pro should be much better than Grid which is a pure arcade game.

probably going tomorrow but can't go till after work :(.

What was the queue like for race pro? Was it using wheels or pads? I'm playing a lot of GTR evo at the minute on the pc so interested to see how it handles. It's not related to GRID in any way as above :)

Oh right, thought it might of been that, it is a class game tho, played GTR on PC, but I found this console version a lot more fun for some reason:p

EDIT-Was no queue for Race Pro, only really 1 person on it then you can go on...controller only sadly

Did you not go in any of the "X" zones (areas to play over 18 games I guess, SaintsRow2, Resistance2, Gears2, Left4dead, Fallout3, FarCry2)

Well, I am 17 so quite hard to get into those areas:p
Area with Resistance 2, Saints Row 2 and Killzone 2 was guarded beforehand but for some reason they left it and anyone could go in.
Gears 2 area needed ID, so alas, I could not get into that:(

I didn't play Resistance, but I watched it while I was waiting to play Killzone. From what I saw, it looked pretty intense, some HUGE, "interesting" bosses, and generally quite varied gameplay..

As soon as I posted I thought, errr maybe he isn't 18!!! Cool. I am hoping many people will be below 18 leaving the above areas empty :)

Me & a couple of mates are going. Really only interested in Killzone 2 & free stuff :)

But if you see 3 old cronies looking out of place that will probably be us....

GTR1 and 2 were developed by the Original SimBin which has since parted to form Blimey! Games, Race Pro was developed by the current SimBin team who Developed Race, Race07 and titles since then, and are not as good a team as the original SimBin IMO.

I was there today (Tuesday).

Killzone 2 is almost poetry in motion; one of the best looking games there, and frankly one of the best looking console games I've ever seen imo. Shooting felt nice and precise and the game was very responsive.

Resistance seemed like old code and locked up almost every time someone loaded a game. Graphically not very impressive (although I could've sworn it was pre-beta so probably due to this) but the game-play seemed solid.

Left 4 Dead was brilliant; split screen co-op demos were set up with quite a few levels were available for selection and the game ran very smoothly. There is nothing quite like exploring an empty section of forest only to have literally about 30 zombies charging at you 28-weeks-later-style. Great fun.

Gears of War 2 is set up in it's own special area made up of two sets of four screens. One set of screens are the Delta Squad, with the other set are Locust and you get to play a small LAN game. There is only one level to choose from but it was good fun and there are no lockups or hitches; it feels very polished.

Fallout 3 only seemed to confirm what many gaming sites have already mentioned; the textures on the PS3 version were somewhat lacklustre although this could have been to due larger screens/poor screen calibration. There was quite a noticeable difference. The dialogue options were incredibly detailed and the game had a great amount of depth. It is almost not worth playing at the expo as there isn't really enough time to really get in to it.

Watch out though, the queue for Gears of War 2 was huge at what seemed like all times. The earlier you get there the more chances there are of a quick(er) wait in line. Also make sure you check outside every so often; there are usually small events and performances right outside the main entrance and Ubisoft set up a tent out front for things like Prince of Persia and MotorStorm 2.

I wasn't there and won't be going (go work!), but a workmate went and he cannot stop talking about Killzone 2. He says it's so beautiful it almost makes him cry.
