Just purchased a Q9550 (E0 stepping) off the bay, paid £265 inc delivery.

I figured the same chip would cost me roughly the same if and when they ever surface in the UK.

Also still much cheaper than Q9650 and I'm guaranteed E0 stepping.

Will post OC results at the weekend... hopefully!

wonder how much one of these will cost in a month's time?

look forward to your results, make sure to put m/b and mm. types in. i've been looking at one of these myself

Not to rain on your parade, but that price is pretty high.

Anyway, they are great chips. Keep us updated

I thought I read somewhere that the chips ocuk were sending out were now E0 stepping? If so then you have paid £30 over the odds.

I hope its a good overclocker for you!

I ordered the Q9550 this morning for £230, just before they changed the offers. Would be great if its the E0 stepping.:)

At least E0s are available here in Finland.
Last week I got E0 from shop which told that they can't exactly know what stepping they've gotten to mailing warehouse from importer. (apparently has varied between shipments and what they had in shop were C1s)
Even heat spreader seems to be flat this time. :)

It was retail box with product code BX80569Q9550 which apparently doesn't necessarily mean E0 even though there's also BXC80569Q9550 code.
AT80569PJ073N -tray version code is apparently E0.

Considering stock HSF heat output must be really smallish:
Heatsink itself is only ~1,5cm thick and has ~8,5cm diameter!
(so no matter how fast that ~8cm fan runs it can't cool really much)

Now think how big performance heatsinks compare to that tiny HSF...
Should have lot of overclocking potential with air cooling!

I got a oem 9650 for 289 from the same auction site, and the guy also had oem 9550's E0 for 180 inc free shipping but all sold out now, must be the new pricing coming in with the i7 being released

Tracking now. This puppy should be here tomorrow.

Please let us know any of you guys how much, if there was a customs fee.

Cheers

It's here!! No customes fee. :D

Seller put it sown as "replacement" on form and marked the value as $49.

Will be lapping first, installing later and hopefully benching by tonight.

Say tuned.
