Whens the 360 dashboard update out ?

As title, I hear it lets you copy games to the harddisk, I wanna do this so I can enjoy adventure games without the disc spinning.

3 weeks today! I keep putting off playing things on the 360 as I want to wait until the NXE comes and I can play without my Boeing DVD drive.

Anyone get accepted on the early access for NXE? I think the majornelson site said people would be e-mailed by Wednesday, if they are in.

No-one has been notified yet. He put an update on his Twitter just before midnight our time last night saying "no e-mails today, likely tomorrow". So should be some time tonight I would think.

How are they going to do it selectively? Just enable the update on certain Xbox Live gamertags?

By Console ID. They specifically asked for that as well as Gamertag (which can be moved between machines). Also I think they said the preference would be Gold Subscribers. Can't think any Silvers will get in as I am sure the e-mail was over subscribed.

I didn't apply because I didn't realise there was a cut of date.

But really... while this might sound like sour grapes, I doubt any of you will get the update. I have a feeling it will be a few US people only. I could be wrong but yahno...

Thing is, even if an e-mail is sent out, it just lets you know you're getting it. The actual date it will be rolled out to your console hasn't been set yet.

Am I missing something, it is a dash update, with some new resolutions and some other stuff, why the fuss?? :confused:
