You can't, as far as I know it has to be club vs club. Easily done though if we made a Ocuk first team and reserves and play each other.
Still new to the game and PS3, but the way Ive been doing it is going into FIFA then IIRC:
Online Gaming Modes
View Player Hub
Press L1 to get to the Address List
Scroll to find you who you want to play from your Friends list and press X and invite into a game.
Theres probably a way from the XMB but Ive never thought to try - probably is an easier way though...

also *** 360 icon flashed up with someones name and smt about "X wants to play" whilst i was in a BAP match?? Whats that? bizarre.
Sound seems clearer in 360 version - can actually make out a few clear voices in onlie BAP
Maybe my imagination but seems to be a bit more varied commentary in 360 version.
So far for me its easier to do tricks on 360 but running and moving quickly seem easier on PS3

sure. ill be on today between 5.30 - 8pm. If theres not many online we found it much easier to NOT use ANY - just play your own position. As CPU handled things ok (albeit this was PS3 version)

depends what league the home team play in. each league has it's own scoreboard.

Available for 360 and PS3 from the same place at the same price. Even my PES loving mate has given in and bought it.
