Not really. No one is indispensable. There are plenty of talented comedians that would jump at the chance of a primetime BBC slot, and for a lot less money. Same goes for Ross.

Given the BBC pay his wage and probably do so based on the amount of viewers he pulls each week then I'd say he very much does.

the sad fact is that there's little competition to Ross in terms of hosting a chat show, some of the pathetic efforts in the last couple of years by so called 'talented people' confirms it.
