According to the MB manual (as far as i under stand it) it appears that you cannot run this memory in dual channel mode. It says:

Supports one module inserted into either slot as Single-channel memory configuration or
Supports four modules inserted into both the yellow slots and the black slots as two pairs of dual-channel memory configuration

but not
Supports one par of modules inserted into either the yellow or the black slots as one pair of dual channel memory configuration.

Can anyone confirm this to be false?

Odd.

Flash a recent BIOS (or even better - flash the latest Ket BIOS from http://www.xtremesystems.org/FORUMS/showthread.php?t=200109 ).

Wouldnt be surprised knowing asus, when i had an a8n sli deluxe they had misprinted which slots to put the ram in for dual channel in the manual.
