BBC Issue apology over Ross/Brand 'Prank'

Considering it gets good rating surely a lot of people do like the content. It's not as if the BBC has only one channel, considering the vast output of the corporation surely there should be room for a little content that is somewhat edgier, even if it offends some people. I don't like half the content bbc3 broadcast, or any of the asanine daytime lineup, purely because it is aimed solely at the lowest common denominator (and seemingly IQ) yet as a licence payer I'm more than happy to pay the fee to recieve a good number of great shows from top gear to QI, to have I got news for you, and friday night with Jonathan Ross.

Being a licence payer gives you the right to demand content to justify your licence fee, but it doesn't give you the right to condemn that which you personally don't like.

It's clear that most people complaining have an agenda, just like easyrider does. The answerphone message is just a platform for them to be able to try and get rid of a show they don't like, nothing else. They don't care what happened, just what could happen now.

I'm glad Brand's resigned. Ross should resign too. IMO I think they are a national disgrace.

I think its great, Russell Brand will probably get snapped up by channel 4 for a big contract. And Ross my move elsewhere if they offer money. That would make the bbc cry a little

lol. I don't know why you think me a kneejerk. If the PM, BBC regulators and even the men themselves think they have done wrong and have let themselves down I can't see why I can't hold the same view without that branding.

The BBC arn't going to lose Ross. It would be a bigger loss than losing Top Gear.

If the BBC knew it was wrong, why did they broadcast it?

And Brown will agree with the public on anything to build his popularity.
