NEED URGENT ADVICE

They aren't bad by any means, but if you could get a Porsche 911 for the same money as a Boxster which would you go for? Both the Phenom and the C2D are good chips, but most people here don't see the need to buy one which performs worse for the same money :)

On a side note, don't wory about the spelling and grammar, it's a bit of a pain but not awful. However, I think you may have peed a few people off by writing in all capitals and with the title of your thread. Asking for urgent help in all caps for something which isn't really urgent (ie your dog is not currently mauling you) is pretty annoying, especially when you are on a forum where the majority of threads get read and replied to anyway-in fact you would possibly get more help if you hadn't done that, but there we go-I'm sure you won't do it again :D

PSU and Harddrive

heres the PSU and Harddrive

Hi-Power Black 1300W Modular 13.5cm Fan PSU - 20+4pin, 4x PCI-E, 6x SATA

Maxtor STM3250310AS 250GB SATAII 8MB Cache - OEM

thanks

I've never heard of Hi-Power, and wouldn't buy from them; you should allways get a PSU which is rock solid even if it means spending twice the price. Also, 1300W is more than twice what you need for that rig! i would go with the Corsair HX620, the Enermax Modu 625W or the PC Power and Cooling Silencer 610. All are great PSUs, and are more than powwerful enough for any single card rig (and most crossfire ones).

Harddrive wise, I would recommend the Samsung F1 320GB. It's a similar price to the Maxtor and is an excellent drive.

£80 for a modular 1300W PSU!!??

At least he won't need to worry about the shame of when it blows, because all that will be left after that thing goes is mangled case and a pair of smoking shoes.

cleric212,

It would be much easier if you just told us your budget and what the PC will be used for. That way we can give you a list of the best compatible components to chose for your needs, etc.
