Hey guys, basically I have decided that when i start a large modding project in the next few months I want to use the
Gigabyte Aurora as since seeing one in person I have fallen in love with it. Plus I don't have the money for a Lian Li :P

Anyway my plan is to have the case powder coated. Black inside and a bright colour outside. I shall remove the
Gigabyte logo and replace it with a Custom Logo and then swap the Side Window for some thick perspex with Either
my name or Project name etched into it.

Feel free to leave any opinions or even ideas :)
 
Thanks mate, I knocked them up in photoshop.

I'm seriously considering building 3d replicas so that i can render them in any colour and get a spot on idea of what they'd look like. Plus i can pre build in my rads etc.

Plus I love the orange too, though the actual interior will probably be white LED's with Black braided tubes and black hardware.
 
Ever thought of leaving the front grill black for more of an accent colour? Love the orange - definitely the better choice.

BTW is this the case with lighting underneath? What colour is that? (if it is)

Love the skills btw - wish I could something like that on my PC (the drawing stuff) :(

i like the orange

been meaning to do an orange/black mod for a bit [i blame gt junkie and that beautiful mm case of his]

why not do a mix of orange and white?
 
See I like the white, but I dont think you could get that type of solid, brilliant finish in white in real life. The orange & white worked well for the SE walkman phone so thats a nice idea.

This very much reminds me of Webbos Tiger mod - which is a good omen...

It's hard to get a good example without playing for a while in Maya in finishing the whole case, cheers for the comment though. Feel free to suggest other colours :D

Yeah I had been thinking about this, hopefully i finished the render off so i can get a good idea of colour schemes and finishes.

Yeah I agree, this'll hopefully give you more of an idea of what I am hoping for. (Colour wise)

ive heard good things about that monitor and after playing on one for a bit i have to say - the quality is very high!

I'm not too sure about white and blue, I'm a big fan of orange though the white will go really well with the bright white LED's i want to use.

I have been thinking about the grill and wether it is actually removable?

Anybody have this or case and know if the grills can be removed for powder coating?
 
I actually thought you were keeping the black side grill - just realised youre not - wouldnt mind doing a mockup though as I think it would look good?

If you are replacing it with a window the rubber seal around the window will most probably be black too - I just like the orange and black scheme especially when black is sparingly used...

P.S. You decided on the orange? I would suggest Sunset Orange as used on the Nissan 350Z - rich/warm enough to take black...

Gotta be orange with orange grill and then black details (lines etc) in a shiny finish for me - good job on the renders. Looks great :)
 
Yeah I will be adding in the side window etc i just had to rush off to a lesson :P

Planning on keeping the trim black + lock etc but swapping the side mesh for perspex. may try and find an orange seal for the perspex.

Trying to think up a good logo to go on the bottom of the door which will be black.

Planning on using the orange with undertones of black. (Orange Grill)

I'l report back with better render later hopefully :D
