An expensive week for gamers ?

Well, tbh, i would say the 3rd person over the shoulderness is primarily to add to the atmosphere. The fact his body blocks a good 33% of your view really makes things feel closer and more claustrophobic, it certainly does for me at least.

And yes i agree, so far this is the best game of the three, interesting considering it's received the least favorable reviews and has had less hype than the others. Proof of my theory that hype = good reviews?

Buy one at a time, then the rest drop to about £20 after 2 weeks. Love PC gaming!

Yep got all 4 games.
Dead Space is my favorite so far for this entire year on the PC.
Far Cry2 have not played much at all as I dislike so will only complete when I have nothing better to play.
Fallout3 & Red Alert3 are due this morning if my postie gets his finger out!

These 4 will keep me going until Tomb Raider:Underworld & NFS: Undercover in 3 weeks.

Found out that Saints Row2 has been put back until next year and does not have a date on the PC at present as they are reconsidering some of the technical aspects.

Also some websites are reporting GTAIV has also been put back until early Dec now so this gives some breathing space to the PC market as releasing all these big titles at once means some will fail as a lot of quality games in such a short time.

Mirrors Edge has no date on the PC at present either.

Imagine how big a month if all these games had met their original release plan!!!

Bought FarCry2, I'll wait for the reviews of Fallout3 and RedAlert3 before I pony up

Fingers crossed for the unlikely event of RA3 turning up on Steam

FC2 is better than many people said but not up to some of the review scores for sure.

Dead Space looks awesome but waiting to play it properly until i get my 4870x2 back from RMa and hook it up to my TV.

RA3 and FC3 better be waiting for me at home or the postie is in trouble...

So far I've bought FarCry 2 (PC), Fable 2 and Fallout 3 Collector's Edition for the PC which should be on it's way.

Probably my game of the year so far (ie til I play Fallout 3 or Little Big Planet). It's got real character to it, which isn't something you can say for many games these days! Not sure if it's coming out for PC, I'm lucky enough to have a brother who is away travelling on his gap year at the moment, and has left his Xbox behind!!

How is Farcry 2? Seems to have really split opinion.

You're missing out on one of the best games of the year if you don't buy dead space, honest to god. I am one of the people that dislikes FC2 too btw if that's at all encouraging.

FarCry 2 is definitely a love it or hate it game. There are too many flaws for it to be a great game but it's definitely not the worst game I've played.

Not really.

Far cry 2 is just not worth the cash imo.
Fallout 3 is not my type of game, I acknowledge it's an okay game but I'm not into rpg ish games, when I tried it it felt like oblivion with guns and low ammo. It does look nice and have a nice world but I like more arcady freeroaming games, say gta or saints row 2

RA3: yet to make a judgement, but not that well as I'd have hoped for in the 1 game I played...
Dead space: Not into sci fi shooters for the mo, I might like it I don't know, just not atm...

Expensive week has passed, when I both pre-ordered gta iv and sr2...

...Controls and camera angles were quoted as major problems.

May just wait for GTA IV

Not sure what else is worth waiting for??
