Best bang for buck these days?

Hi,

Just got an X2 3800 (@2.3Ghz) to pep up my system a little bit and wondered about a cheapish GFX card upgrade too. I have a 7800 GT now, and wondered what the best price/perfomance went to these days? I don't want to spend a shocking amount, maybe £150, and don't expect to play Crysis at Ultra High, but 1360x768 with High detail with some AA in new games would be nice.

How is the 9800 GTX+? Not even sure where to start with ATi!

Thanks

2nd hand 512 8800gt ~£55, plays crisis at high (no aa) at 1280x1024

if you want a new card, i'd probably go with the 4850 for ~£110

what bledd said - take a look at the guide in my sig for a bit of advice on all things graphics wise

9800gtx is a bad investment when the 4850 is a lot cheaper

having said that - mine is wonderful and very reliable - i cant comment on the ati card as i havent used it

4850 all the way unless you can get a 4870 second hand.
Some good deals on a certain auction site (that I of course wouldn't dare to mention) for 4870's. No deals at all on 4850's though. Infact some of the best prices I've found for 4850's are right here on OverclockersUK (plug, plug, plug. That okay, mods? :)).
