4870 brands, no differance then why price?

I returned my Faulty Sapphire 4870 and opted for a Gigabyte version.
I have heard on here that there is no differance in the cards yet there is £30 differance in price? whys is this?

Warranties normally, and to do with them believing they have better customer service if something goes wrong.

sometimes the differences are: the frequency of GPU / memory, cooling system (passive/ active), emited noise, ability to overclock, etc

they all come from the same factory so any differences in overclock are just down to slightly better chips

the chips are made in the same factory - many of the pcb's are made in different loacations

based on a reference design
