Delays for GTA IV & SR2 :(

It's misleading though, for example, a 8600GS will be wiped away by an 1900XTX...
I too think they meant 8800.

Also, the 7900's/1900's have no less features than the gpu's in the xbox and playstation, adding some extra features like dx10 won't matter at all visually I think because it's a console port anyway :). They should focus on letting it run better, and making things that are annoying like the poor spawn distance (for cars etc), much higher... Not adding something like dx10 or whatever they're planning.

I used to be like that with most games (don't get me started on the Half Life 2 delay probably down to ANON hacking into valves pc's and releasing that highly unfinished game). Speaking on that situation I think valve told him he could work for them to help stop future attacks from happening etc but when he arrived they arrested him haha :D
 
I'm just like this with gta though, and perhaps saints row 2, but nothing else, even good shooters or rts game don't peek my interest too much these days, I just see em when they're out and don't care much about em before they get released. Gta deserves some anticipation though, besides it's the only game I have on pre-order atm...
 
As hacked off as I am about this, SR2 I can definaltey wait - but was excited about GTA4 for PC.

Always played GTA on PC (Since thats where it originated) and what grinds my gears is that console noobs get it FIRST these days...I mean...wtf

(yeah yeah piracy and all that carp).

The good thing is that LEFT FOR DEAD was due to arrive on 21st November as GTA4 was...so instead of having two games to play at once, you can play one and then get GTA when its out :D

GTA has been on consoles first since 2001 when GTA III came out ;)
 
Any reason for the GTA4 delay? And by the length of the delay do you think they can actually do anything significant? Im hoping the apparent port-like qualities that Ive seen in the trailers might have been ironed out so its a better port like GTA VC and SA were...

If that happens Im happy for the delay

Funny thing is I've been told to avoid GTA4- apparently despite the rave reviews by console magazines and the like, the story and characters aren't meant to be interesting, and the gameplay not like the GTA of old.

Saint Row 2 on the other hand is excellent apparently. So I'll wait till both are out, see what the general reaction is to both.

Perhaps due to the absolutely dire Bully port. They might be looking to avoid making the same mistakes.
