Tomb Raider : Underworld Demo

I really enjoyed it. Graphic were very nice, Lara looks fantastic, and the sound and ambience is really good with some excellent, unobtrusive music. Main complaint is to echo what's been said already; the camera gets a bit jerky sometimes which makes things awkward. Aside from that though, it's very solid.

Quite impressed with the length of the demo too, kept me busy for a while.

The camera does seems a little annoying at times especially in the end part where I was trying to crouch onto the end of a ledge to drop down and the camera kept hitting the beam above and zooming right in on Lara so I couldn't make out where the edge was.

No sounds in game for me, works fine on the menu though :(

Same here, but if you go into your Sound and Audio devices and turn the Acceleration down to basic it works. :)

Agree with the above about the camera, and i got confused with the controls, as when i got to the top where those spiders were landing on me it was coming up press E to get em off, but i was trying to find a button on me pad to do it instead, and when i didn't i had to start pressing E, but by the time i started doing that i died.:D

Downloading now, the 360 version was a total disapointment visual wise. Cancelled my PS3 pre-order and pre-ordered on the PC, hoping this impresses. The screen shots look good!!

Runs and looks good, way above 60fps even with 4xfsaa 16xaf 1920x1200.

I think it's worth it on budget buy but not the kind of game I'd sink myself into like in Dead Space.

Yeuuw, just finally had time to play it properly this morning after sorting my no sound issues out, awful, just awful.

Camera makes me feel ill, it also has issues where it refuses to show where you need to go forcing my next point which I never had an issue with in any other TR game :(

Blind leaps of faith, I had to do two within minutes of starting the game, it was only after attempting to make a jump for the fourth time that the camera finally decided to swing around to show me where to go next.

Jump directional controls, again caused by the camera swinging around as the jump is performed causing the jump to be performed in the wrong direction, this happened occasionally for me in older TR games but nothing like it's doing in this one.

Looks good though, except what is up with Lara's mouth at the start? it was really odd looking during the cut scene.

Eeh, that's what the earilier TR's were all about, being left to your own devices to find out what to do next, total isolation.

I know that chimney jumping is going to drive me insane. It's also frustrating when you seem to be lined up in the correct line for a jump only to have the silly bint turn a fraction and jump in the wrong direction!

No, I don't mean in that respect, I mean that you can't even get the camera in a position to see the next ledge and as such you have to make a totally blind jump without having any knowledge of if there is a ledge or anything, pure guesswork.

Don't suppose anyone has a torrent link for this demo? All the regular http sites are incredibly slow at the moment, barely getting 300kbps.
