Ideas for new email address

Hi all, iam after a new name for my emaill address, currently have jimwhite(a number)@hotmail.com

Would like [email protected], but thats already taken. So iam looking for a new one if possiable to tie it in with photography for a flickr account. So something like jimwhite.photos@........

I use 123-reg.co.uk for my domains.

http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new is the start page for Google Apps standard version, seems they're trying less hard to promote it these days. All the joys of GMail with all the joys of your own domain...

Although since the pound has decreased, may be somewhere in the UK that is the same price?

Google apps is pretty good, as someone else said, good webmail on your own domain

I think iam missing something, I cant see how google apps, would tie in with having your own domain?

By domain does that just mean I would have my own personal emaill address?

You point your mail from your domain to head to Google's servers. This is generally done through whoever you register your domain with.

You own the domain you buy, so you have [email protected]. In future, you could get some hosting and have your own site or such too.

You could have your website on this domain that you buy now, which would serve you for e-mail until then. Google Apps gives you primarily e-mail, but stuff like Docs and Calendar if there's multiple people on the domain. Basically all the features that GMail has, just support to manage multiple users from one place.
