Who knows? The end of Stephen King's films are always random and make no sense. It's a recurring theme.

Well, it's based off a Stephen King book, all of the novels by Stephen King that have been turned into movies generally have random endings that generally make no sense. The only one I understood was Misery. I mean, IT, a spider? Gtfo, ruined the film.
