i got my q6600 and its pretty good.
it serves me well for encoding and hd editing but...
i do play a lot more games now than i did and was wondering if i would see a real benefit from moving to a wolfdale
i know a higher clocking dualcore would give me a boost in games
im worried that i would be taking a step back - or is this not the case
any q6600 > E84/500 owners in here could share their thoughts and experiences?
also am i looking at a significant power saving or would a E8500 at 4GHz need similar power to a Q6600 at 3.4

, both systems using a single 8800GT@the same clock's
The applications I use benefited from any small increase in hz and don't use quad. Nice that it runs cooler and uses less leccy as well.
