Choosing a 775 motherboard?

Hi all :)

I'm just about to return a motherboard which my father ordered as it was the wrong one.
Hopefully I'll get a full refund.
Now I'm after a 775 socket motherboard, problem being theres so many different models, which 1 do i choose or do they work with any cpu?
I'm about to buy a new cpu, i want an intel 775 socket one.

But obviously i want it all to be compatible, so whats the best cpu to get and motherboard please that will work with that memory?

P.s if it's possible i'd prefer the motherboard to be under 80 pounds please.

Don't really know about the CPU might want to check the CPU forum, Should be ok but it's better to check with people who know before you spend

HOW TO REGISTER:
