I ALMOST DIED :O

By my local Asda, you ride downhill and turn to the right, it's quite narrow and doesn't seem so sharp at first but usually you have to throw on your brakes. I'm slowly trying to take this faster and faster, sometimes your rear wheel will slide out and you can drift outwards, I can't wait for ice. (this is dangerious and done without braking)

BTW weaving in and out of people is quite dangerious AT SPEED, slow down.

Sometimes you can put your body-weight forward and throw your foot on the pedal and do a wheelspin, great on tiles with some wd40 on the floor or on ice.

More people travel more miles in cars.

If you were to look at accidents per mile or per hour I'd hazard a guess that cycling is more dangerous. I'd also suggest that in any form of collision the cyclist is in more danger than a driver.

A quick google for some statistics suggests 10 times more likely per mile travelled. Not sure about per hour.

Many people in this thread seem to be miserable ********. I can imagine the drift being pretty cool actually...especially on a bicycle ^^.

People who complain about cyclists even though you've never been injured by one. really do fail. Go moan about something worthwhile rather than people who ride perfectly within the highway code
