How to become a vegetarian safely?

Roast chicken, turkey, sausages = reasonably priced meats enjoy. Make meat balls with half beef/pork mince and make lots then freeze them.

Lots of things you can do which will pad out the meet you use too. Stop being a big girl.

Otherwise if you are being serious make sure you vary the veg you eat. Make sure you have a decent source of protein (nuts etc) and get ready for the world of bland flavours in a few weeks. Generally they have to overcompensate the bland food with lots of herbs and spices to give it flavour.

what makes you think veggies are any cheaper? You could always go for own brand packet noodles if you really wana save on money - dont recomend it though :p

If your honestly choosing alcohol over meat then I think you have bigger problems to worry about.....

Far superior to buying alcohol instead.

Whole chicken, sausages, tescos cheaper bacon. Look for deals too.

You'll end up eating a wider variety of vegetables than you do now and you'll get all smelly because of it.

No no no no no no no no!

It's better to give up meat altogether than buy the Tesco Value crap.

You know by law a sausage only has to be 33% meat? Do you really want me to tell you what 66% of a Tesco Value sausage is? Do you?

Don't give up meat! The world will drop out of your arse with all those extra vegetables! Man up, get a nice big T-bone on the go. There's a thread on here about making your own beer. Saves you more money for M.E.A.T!

Go outside and kill! Signs of the true alpha-male. I hear it's bad to stop eating meat, I believe your penis shrinks and becomes less usable - it's true 'cuz it's on the internets.

Someone on here a while ago said it turned theirs a funny colour. He was worried.

Tescos value BACON.

I don't scrimp on sausages, no one should. But even the pricier ones are cheaper than a lot of other meats ;)

You could continue to eat meat but be a bit less wasteful with it. Buy the reduced stuff and freeze it etc. IMO going veggie isn't necessarily cheaper.

I was watching a program the other day, and there was this company selling 5% meat sausages. They couldn't legally call them sausages, so the called them "bangers" instead.

If you ever see "soandso's country bangers" and buy them, you're in for a real treat ;)

Asda did some a while back which were 8% meat and sold packs of 6 for 18p.
