Ive bought some retro tin signs from allposters.com and i think they look pretty good.
Now to attach them to the wall, i could screw or nail through the 4 holes in each corner, but is there another way i could do this?

I think a massive screw/nail head would look out of place

ideas?

no the stuff is stronger than nails or screws and will most likely pull your plaster from your walls before falling down!

Sticky pads - you can get some pretty strong ones that will also allow you to remove them should you need to and without damaging your plaster work although will probably require re-decoration. Sellotape have a product called Sticky Fixer Strip, it's a permanent self adhesive double sided foam strip and I've held things on walls far heavier than signs...like the paper towel holders in the office loos - 1 year and still stuck fast.
