Top Clown returns Sunday 2nd November 2008 **SPOILERS**

See, I wouldnt watch that, neither would the wife, or the two boys, as it would be boring.
Which is why they dont do it anymore, people love watching 3 middle aged men act like fools where as they dont want to watch what you want the show to be.

Turning into Last of the Summer Cars me thinks :D

Top Gear is far better now than it was in the "old days"... Although, I hardly remember much of the original series... :|

It's a good laugh that we live in a country of bandwagon jumping idiots though.
I'd wager more than half the people who complained are old people watching specifically so they can complain after. Or old people who read the papers and though... "Aye, I'll be having some o' that." *phones BBC complaints no.*

Can't wait until the BBC just shows non-stop Eastenders and Ready Steady Cook, in fear of the 'sheltered brigade' moaning... *cough*

It's now just pure mainstream entertainment with some motoring-related offshoots.

I get all my in-depth / factual / info from EVO & Drivers Republic

Wonder if anybody rang in to complain about Oliver being put in so much danger.:D

Actually surprised Health and Safety allowed Jezza to drive through that wall!

Well he did have a lot of protective gear on, and as you saw, paramedics were on seen in seconds.

Also, I don't know if H&S can actually prevent someone from doing such a thing, only advise against it if it isn't in a special workplace?

The Top Gear i remember, with Tiff, Quinten, and the fat bloke who did the bike tests, was pretty much like reading an issue of "What Car?"

Until it was Jeremys' turn to review something and it was entertaining.

anyone that thinks top gear is a motoring show hasnt seen it for the last couple of series.

it stopped being a motoring show years ago, when it started to become popular.

Top Clown.... LOL

Any my GF watches Top Gear... she has no interest in cars... Thats the popularity of the current format.

I watched TG again tonight on my laptop and I overall enjoyed the programme.

But I feel it would have been better if instead of wasting all that money (ours btw!) smashing up trucks it would have been more entertaining and factual if they all signed up for LGV training passing the theory hazzard perception test and then the LGV driving test itself.

And, they should have done some reversing! - Hill starts are easy in an empty rig, believe me! - All of them are used to all kinds of exotica yet they can't pull away on a hill? - Balls! - and this is where TG imo fails.

TG has so many good ideas, but executes them poorly imo.

Alas, as James May said on Mondays "Simon Mayo" show on Radio 5, "Top Gear is an Entertainment show" I am undecided if its better or worse for it.

Did you say the same thing on that Lorryist forum? I think you're going to get the same response as you did there "zzzzz" :p

My GF also watches Top Gear, albeit a bit forced by me as I round up all the remotes before TG starts but she says she hates it but always enjoys the challenges.
