How well do the OCUK 4Gb memory kits clock?

I'm just debating upgrading from 4Gb to 8Gb memory on my MSI P35 Neo2-FR motherboard.

I currently have a Geil 4Gb kit which is 4* 1Gb modules at DDR930 12-4-5-4 timings, 2.00v

OcUK sell cheap own brand memory. 8Gb of it would only cost £70 but it's not worth it if I have to dial the timings right back to achieve DDR930. Does anyone have any experience with this memory or is it best to buy something like the Geil 8Gb 12-4-4-4 kit at nearly twice the price?

Cheers

I put an extra 4gb of GSkill PC8500 in my machine to make 8gb total. Saw absolutely no benefit what so ever. Keep your dosh in your pocket mate.

i've got two lots of the 4gb, bought at different times so i have two different sets of chips...works fine though...i do a lot with vmware, so the extra memory comes in real handy. havent tried overclocking though.

That's what I'm thinking. All the current games are still 32bit presumably and limited to 2Gb address space?

Yes, it won't help in gaming :) Will help a small bit if Vista precaches your applications well enough and it will still help massively with multitasking, espically in MMOs with rising memory requirements, but for now it's not needed at all.
