GTX 260-216 Mad Overclocker??

I just got one of these and unless I'm mistaken about my system being perfectly stable, then they clock like mummy lovers!

I bought the BFG Maxcore OC version but was going to return it and buy one of these XFX Black Edition ones, due to their very high factory overclock.

But before doing so I tried overclocking mine and it reached that level, seemingly without any troubles.

I then went all the way to 700 core/1475 shader/1200 memory. I would have gone furher but apparently higher overclocks don't take effect?

I ran 3DMark06 on a long loop and there was no artifacting or crashing. Going to set up a longer OCing test tomorrow but first impressions are very good!

I've just bought that card yesterday. Can you please give some basic details on how to go about overclocking it?

mine in sig, clocks well, tried going higher on the memory and to the next shader clock but no luck. Happy with it though

Download the EVGA precision tool - you can set the clock and fan speeds, even save different profiles.

i used a combination of atitool/rivatuner/furmark/crysis. Seemed to work quite well.

My BFG maxcore oc used to be rock solid at 1458MHz on the shaders (1512MHz always was unstable, they go up in 54Mhz steps on BFGs) However I'm now seeing artifacts when the temp hits 55c, 1404MHz is fully stable.
