Beans on Toast a good meal before a workout?

Beans on toast is a great meal to have prior to going to the gym if you are trying to lose weight or simply going for definition. Used to do it myself. However, I would suppliment it with a home -made protein shake as well.

Pre-workout? Why?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I ment I would take the shake after the workout. As regards the beans on toast it used to be a nice light meal/snack prior to a workout early morning.I got myself into the habit of not eating very much in the morning. Easily digestable, high in carbohydrate and low in fat. I was on a low fat diet for 6 months to help with definition. Worked too well for me as I prefer to be a bit more bulky. Some people add tuna to the mix for a bit of variety:D
