Resident Evil Remake coming to the Wii

Why not just buy the cheap Gamecube version? How bizare. They should do a Resident Evil 2 remake in HD for the 360/PS3.

IGN reported that Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has revealed that the Gamecube version of Resident Evil is being ported to the Wii for a release on December 25, 2008. As with the Japan-only port of Resident Evil Zero, the game will see minimal changes in its move over to the Wii.

Just buy the gamecube version. Its probably going for a few quid now. The graphics still look good to this day.

Indeed, Resident evils on the gamecube showed up the PS2 and Xbox. They were put together so well, the Lighting effects always amazed me.

REmake was a great game - definately one to pick up if you missed it both times around. A widescreen 480p version might be enough for me to double dip.

Forget this, its capcon cashing in, there will be no widescreen, it’s the same game but with waggle controls.


Resident evil remake is a fantastic game and one of the best on the cube, so I wouldn’t bother waiting for this and I would go out and get the gamecube edition right now.

No special Wii controls for this, also kinda hard to do that with the fixed camera angle.

If this is the case then I see no point in remaking it for the Wii when the Wii will play GC games. I'll be interested to see if there are any additions or anything new on the Wii version.

Well, since its on the Wii it'll be on shelf's beside the Wii games. Also, Resi sells like crazy on the Wii. So, its more money for nintendo.

Its just a straight port, you could probably use your gamecube controller to play it.

EDIT: I got resi zero off a major online only shop for £9.99 in 2004 so they must be peanuts now

Really cant understand this.. Just buy the GC version for a tenner or less from most places.. How odd.. maybe they will just copy it to bigger dvds..
