***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

yep nice to pay to beta test their expansion ;) 3 days free as well... woot

It was unavoidable, i don't see how we're beta-testing when there was no way to avoid the amount of data load that the servers would experience from the achievement system being setup for each persons character/account. I never mentioned beta-testing in my previous post.

Is anyone going to the launch event at HMV Oxford street? Me and a couple of others are. Geeks, deploy!

No, it isn't worth travelling to London just for the release of a game. I think I'll just have a wander up to the Potteries Centre and pick it up in a month or so. :)

I'd love to go but I fear me just playing WoW is geek enough for me :p If I go, I might spasm out of control and turn into a fully fledged nerd... and no one wants to see that happen

if you were making a new character with the aim of doing end game raiding....would you be a retribution paladin or a fury warrior?

They're constantly nerfing and buffing specs, try both or read about both, and see what sounds most fun to you otherwise if you level a character because its supposed to be good at the mo, it may have been nerfed by the time you get to raiding standard.

I personally would be a fury warrior though, and have been before. Not a major pally fan.

I'm on Twisting Nether, Horde, I know no one at all on there and am not in a guild so I'm up for migrating for WotLK on my Hunter, any OcUK Horde guild or anything going?

Well, they have just reduced the penalty on "Titan's Grip" to 5% from the original 15%. :)

Well there's that, and i just don't really get on with pallies, though the last few weeks they've been more fun.

Titan's grip is cool, shame the weapon models clip so much when sheathed...

I find Fury warriors better as you don't have to worry about mana, and i just preferred them really, i liked being a big arse Tauren and hitting things :D

my main char is a fury warrior and its great fun to play, when levelling you will struggle to get into 5man dungeons as most people will only take a warrior as a tank but at the higher levels a reasonably well geared FW can do some fantastic dps and people are slowly coming round to the idea they can be an asset. Plus its still possible to off tank and help with crowd control when needed. Hell I went from 0-60 fury specced and never had a problem main tanking, just dont tell em ya fury :D

aye best way to go about it tbh. Even now you check ppls specs a lot of ppl are lazy and just dont bother. I did a very similar thing, my priest 0-70 i healed every dungeon on my way up specced shadow. It was really only when i started hitting the 68-70 dungeons i started struggling to keep up.

End of the day ppl would say are you healer. im a priest ofc i can heal :p said nothing about what spec :)
