Well well i couldn't have belived it since 2002 my younger brother who is not good with money came to me for help regarding bank charges and since 2002 till present lloydstsb have charged him nearley £3800 on overdraft charges interest and failed direct debits. Well i think i will be following the guides on the net to get this recovered. The banks are here to make our lives hell and as a result he is so unwell with worrying. Time to go after lloydstsb.

28 October 08. Banks Appeal starts at the Court of Appeal

The appeal by the banks against the decision that bank charges are subject to 'fairness rules' began on the 28 October in the Court of Appeal. It is expected to last for 6 working days and to cover both judgements into current and historic contract terms. It could be months before we get a decision from the judges though.

you sure. If not i might need to get in touch with a claims company then.

you won't gwt anywhere with or without a claims company until after the court case

put simply if the banks win then they won't pay out, if they lose they will have to pay out quickly and easily

It is on hold pending the court case. Might as well submit the claim anyway though - you've already worked out the amount and the letter won't be any hassle.

That way if the case is successful, you'll beat the rush of other people getting their claims in.

Submit the claim form and you'll get a letter from Lloyds telling you that they think the charges are fair, but that the court case is on hold, it'll be rectified early next year and if they win the appeal, then you won't get the cash back, if they don't win, you will.

You can still claim if you're in financial difficulty and the court case only applies to current accounts. You can still claim for credit card charges etc etc
