This happened to me yesterday in the fishing village. Thinking of changing the difficulty so I can try and enjoy the game a bit more...

Wondering how easy 'easy' is? Dont want it to be too easy :p

Maybe the difficulty scaling isn't right or something then, I'm playing it on Hardcore and don't find it particularly hard - then again once you get the sniper rifles it's easy enough to scope out checkpoints and snipe almost everyone there from range. The only people I have problem with are generally NPC snipers. :(

Does anyone know - is this "upgrading" of enemy weapons tied to %age of the game completed, or tied to how many weapons you've bought? I recently grabbed a few new goodies, .50 sniper rifle etc... but it'd be interesting to know whether it was this affecting the enemy choice of weapons or how far you progress through the game.

I'm pretty sure it's tied to how far through the main storyline (%age) you are, as when me and my mate first started our game, we did all the weapon unlocks first, yet the enemy never seemed to get beyond AKs and the occasional bolt-action sniper. After doing the main story now though (up to 30% I think), we're seeing LMGs, Mac10s and the like.

Perhaps - but i was thinking its tied to weapon PURCHASES not unlocks... i had plenty stuff unlocked, but seemed to only see NPC weapons improving as I bought weapons.... pretty sure I didnt see any of them carrying a belt fed MG until I bought the PKM, but im not 100% sure.

Anyone else tested this? Not sure if I wanna do a new character until the respawn can be altered a little....

More to the point, why are the animals just "fluffy and soft" - i.e. they do no damage at all to your vehicle, and Buffalo just keel over and die when you shoot them with a pistol, rather than getting slightly miffed and charging you.... which IMO they should :D

Dammit I want a herd of Buffalo stampeding me!!!
 
They could have done it so with each different type of animal you kill you get an animal head on the wall of your safe house! :)

I’m not sure about lions and stuff, would certainly be nice but could be annoying if you’re retreating from a fire fight and get eaten! Could be good but could be something else people complain about.

Is anyone else getting a bit annoyed with getting run over? Happened to me about 3 times last night, having a good gun fight and suddenly a jeep comes steaming in and kills me.
 
Ugh, this is lame.

The latest patch breaks the FOV fix that was out.

They don't add a FOV option themselves to the patch AND they break the one we do have :(

Means I can't play until a fix is back out, cause I unfortunately get motion sickness.

Ghey. Thats me not installing the patch then! How hard can it be in this day and age, to make a game work with widescreen?? :rolleyes:

Haha, but come on, you do it to them!

What the hell is this FOV thing, don't see a problem with it.

Every time I put a FOV thing on a game, it just looks knaff, and goldfish bowl like.

It's not as if the character is stretched or anything with the ingame widescreen res.

I've definitely seen weapons before I've bought them, as the only weapon I've bought is the G3-34 thingy, nothing else. Yet I've found snipers up towers with MAC10s as sidearms.

Currently I'm stockpiling diamonds (got about 200) until I've unlocked all the weapons, then I'll buy some top-end ones and all the upgrades.
 
Sorry if this has been asked already....don't wanna read back through 70 pages :)

When ever I use the MP5 I get a weird lump of random texture in the bottom-left of the screen. I can't get rid of it, whatever I try. Only happens with that gun, so far. Game is 100% stable apart from this. Anybody else experiencing this?
 
My 10 year old daughter came out to say good night when i was playing and i said to her look at the Zebra over there as im flying down a dirt road and about that time a zebra came out from the right side and ran out in front of my jeep and it bounced off the hood and fell lifeless in the road ,, haha .

She freeked out and ran back in the house ,, hahaha
