It did this for Fallout3 , put STEAM in your exeptions tab in the settings and it will never bother you again

As for the preload - Downloading now

and 3pm FFS!!! i hate GMT times

Just went to get the demo.

You have to BUY the game before you can see the demo.

WOW, the game must be TERRIBLE if they want your money before letting you see it. I was really looking forward to this game, but I guess if it's that bad it's best avoided.

The demo will be available to EVERYONE about a week AFTER the PRE-ORDER release.

"On November 11 the demo will be made available to all PC and Xbox 360 gamers worldwide, with no obligation to purchase. The demo concludes on November 18, when Left 4 Dead will be made available at retail outlets across North America and worldwide via Steam."
