hot, cheap short winter holiday destination

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I want to get away for a few days in mid December (3 nights max really) and want a nice beach holiday somewhere fairly warm and cheap.

I have found a holiday in Malta (18 degrees ish) for around £300.

Does anyone know anywhere warmer with a beach? (absolute max £400, preferably around £300-£350).

The other side of the planet is getting warmer right now, but it's not cheap to get there. Even 20 degrees is not really sun bathing beach weather
 
Somewhere like Tenerife or Egypt as the above poster said. Egypt was roasting (like 30+) in March this year but I don't know how much it cools down in December.
 
Thanks for the options. Egypt sounds good (my parents went there recently and said it was very nice), also Tenerife would be nice.

When I say hot, i mean hot enough to wear a T-shirt or jumper without feeling chilly. I.e. double figures near or above 20. I know we aren't going to get 30+ for the amount of money we want to spend. It is only for 3 days anyway.
