Game crashes like mad, every single time it crashes with looping audio.

No crashes for me at all, though it a little chuggy given my system.

YES and it's very annoying - EVERY time i've tried the demo it has crashed at some point or another - sometimes a straight CTD and others vista says the ATI driver stopped responding.

Real shame as I am liking it a lot!

I wonder if it's an ATI issue then. I'm on an Nv 880GTS640 and 180.43 drivers (Vista64).

I've just noticed the L4D dedi server tool - setting one up now

Though I need to go afk for a bit...Still, I'll leave it running.

Turning the sound quality down to medium in game solved my crashing issue

EVERYONE PLEASE ENABLE A DEDICATED SERVER AND FORWARD THE NEEDED PORTS!

Finally got through some multi games, seems to be aton of fun. Was suprised at my fps being so low though, around 30'ish.

I wasn't going to, but have given in, just means I'm skint for the rest of the month

I'm very tempted too, though after the FarCry 2 debacle, I'm probably going to wait until I've had a go on the demo (I know, its a valve game, so perfection is guarenteed, but I'd rather just try it first ), and then order it late next week. I'm just wondering though if the price is going to last that long, or is it just for the pre-orders this week?

Hmm. Don't suppose anyone else is running NOD32? It's moved left4dead.exe to quarantine saying it's a CRYPT.WIN32 virus while I'm downloading. Anyone else seen this?

edit - googled, seems I'm not the only one. Should have done that first really.

well after thr farcry 2 crap we have had to put up with and i bought , do you guys advise me to spend more of my hard earned on this? is it worth it , and in a different leuge to farcry2 ?
