The Zombie Invasion Strategy Thread

In addition to the above, work on a technique to lure all zombies to one place on planet earth, then take nuke and remotely detonate, awesome boom and zombies gone, personally id choose some inner city council estate for such an explosion, no one will miss it :D

London! :D

We came up with a zombie plan a while ago;

First off, communication its a time of need kill the weak they WILL not survive kill them and grieve later waste no time.

Next call your strongest and strong minded mates first, arrange a good place to meet up, thus the reason why a certian major supermarkets keys have been stolen copied and passed accross trusted friends. Plenty of food available and supplies to make weapons.

Next of course upon arrival to the supermarket, barracides. The place will be fully locked down, and then bolted up. On the way there though at least 5 average looking women will be picked up - they have already been pre-picked. Boards accross the windows fully placed in with a weapon near any vulenrable access point.

Next chain of command will be choosen and any bitten shot and set on fire - no affected will be tollerated. Any weapons will be made up and stored incase of any major out break.

Of course over the next few months, entertainment would be set up hoping that electricty will still be working, thus consisting of TV set and xboxness.

Over the next year or so we would continue to get rid of any near the building and try and set a permiter taken up any nearby resources we could.

Then as we get used to the zombies, we would venture out and try and rescue any good looking females as possible, and of course children.

I cannot see how this could be flawed and course not went in to the full detials as not wanting for the plan to stolen and used against us in anyway.

A combine harvester is a good shout but i'd reckon the mechanism would jam up after a few zombies entered as they are only designed to cut down light plants.

This is an awesome thread btw, i love zombies and dooms day senarios

Should do nicely for large hordes. :D

As far as the Dead Set horde at the gate situation was concerned, I'd have backed the van up to the gate and used it reinforce it while I had the rest of the group use sharpened metal poles such as Patrick's improvised lamp/spear to reduce the Zombies numbers through the fence's mesh. Failing that, I'd at least try and erect some sort of screen between them and the house in the hope that not being able to directly see their prey would calm them down a bit, and perhaps look into clearing the studio as a fallback position too.

If possible, they just required a massive mirror...did you see how intrigued they became at the end by looking at themselves?

I think it's a mistake choosing a big building like a supermarket. it's too big and you'd thus need a lot of people to be able to monitor all directions at once - you want to know early when they're coming so you can get ready and the bigger the building the more difficult it is to monitor such things.

What you have to remember is this is england, not america, so guns and ammo are going to be Very hard to find. And are they slow or fast zombies?

Slow is easy, cricket bat, blunt objects etc.
Fast on the other hand, you'd need ranged weapons witch would be very hard to find in england.

And find a good place to hole-up, a shopping center, super-markets and sports shops = weapons and food.

A shopping centre would be a nightmare - the amount of possible entry points to be breached is huge.

Iffy.

Only your standard fire exit, main entrance, and cargo bay.

No different than most major buildings.

That depends on the shopping centre really, of the two large ones here (Overgate and Wellgate) you've got large glass sections as facing the street (particularly the Overgate), multiple door entry points plus the fire exits, car park entry and cargo bays. If that tells you only one thing it is don't hole up in Dundee come the zombie apocalypse, you'll probably not notice the difference. ;)

Not the shopping centres I've been in recently - all have had at least two entrances. Many shopping centres also have big windows for the outer shops and, if there was any looting or fast zombies, these may be broken and thus suddenly you have tens of different entrances.

EDIT:mostly what semi-pro said.

I'd grap my wife, felling axe and golf clubs, jump in the car and speed down to Brighton marina. I'd steal all the food I could fit in my car from Asda (tins mainly), and go to the waterfront.

I'd then jump in the most accessible boat that looks easy to steal and make my way to a lighthouse or similar maritime structure with a fresh supply of water.

No way.

I work at Lakeside, there are four main entrances just to the mall, each of the flagship stores has an entrance of it's own, that brings it up to about ten, every store on one side of the lower floor has a door that opens directly on to the loading bay, that's probably another thirty or so, there are at least fifteen or so fire exits (I'm probably underestimating this badly as well), probably five or ten smaller entrances into various stores from various car parks... I mean Debenhams has three entrances just into the one store, House of Fraser at the other end is the same but I think it actually has more

Seriously there's probably between 50 and 60 doors into Lakeside.

In fact on talking to a friend and thinking more about it, it's got to be approaching a hundred at least.

Hmm Strangeways prison is just across the road from me, although the building I live in seems like it could be secure.

River on two sides, railway on 1 side and road on the other. There are three entrances to the complex, a secured metal shutter down to the car park below the building with one entrance to the residential area above. A glass door to the right of the metal shutter (easily barricaded) and finally large iron secure gates at the front that could be reinforced leading into a central courtyard.

Access to the river so you could grab boats, access to major transportation routes which any rescue operation would use and access locally to large amounts of food and petrol if scavenging.

You forgot about the dodge shopping center between them(forget the name) only 2 or 3 ways in possible to hold up in there i would suspet. food a plenty and i imagine a few knifes and so on. Or you could come to arbroath and we could all hold up in the signal tower or the abbey lol
