Any recommendations? Think I currently got senhh cx300 or something but the cable seems a bit damaged and i'm getting crackly sounds on them now.

a budget range? if you were happy with the cx300 then youd prob be happy with any of the sennheisers on ocuk and if you have a larger budget then shure ones are awesome' also makes a difference what types of music they are for as to what earphones would be most suited to you

I had some £50 (well they were then) Shure E2C's and they were pants.

If you absolutely require in-ear then I believe the CX400's are regarded highly, personally I'd go get some Koss KSC75's imported which are over the ear, but bloody amazing. :D

JVC FX55s Marshmallows at the bottom end of the price scale, Denon C700s sort of mid rangeish and Atrio M5 or Sleek SA6s if you want to go a bit nuts.

it really all depends on what sort of sound u want from them and how much you want to pay, do you want bass heavy like the cx300's you had or something more bass light

I've got CX300's not really bass heavy tbh, they sure as hell seem to lack treble and loudness though.

They just sound cheap and naff compared to my Koss, which were actually cheaper and blow them away.

really? are you sure you have them in right and is possible depending on where u got them they may not be real. there were lots of fake cx300's floating about on the net

Not many other places to have them lol, and yes they are real from a proper retailer.

I thought they were amazing at first, then I got my Sennheiser HD595's and having to use the CX300's for portable use was painful, they are terrible.

Thought I'd have to spend loads to get really good portables, but nope the KSC75's cost me £13 and are about 10x better, moving from home headphones to portable isn't painful at all anymore. :D

cx300's are bassy and uncontrolled and lack high end and mid range clarity but they arent terrible, for the money i think they about the best there is that said they are cheap as hell but the reviews it gets all over the place tend to be glowing, much like the ones for them in the shop bit

When you can get the Koss for the same price-ish or cheaper than the CX300's (like I did) they are definitely not the best there is.

They really are terrible once you hear better though.

having not heard the koss ones i cant comment on them tbh i not a fan of any non canal phones. i do agree the cx300's are only great until you hear something better but that said the cx300's are leagues ahead of the crappy things u get with an ipod

Got my Sony EX85s yesterday; best headphones I've ever owned. Bass is clear, not rumbly like some headphones, highs and middles sound great too.
You can pick up a pair for £13 but I would avoid the bay at all costs because 99.99% of them are fakes.

Shure SE110 Sound Isolating Earphones £17.99 at the moment from a site i cant link to ,can see this selling out pretty quick

edit/ correct price added

Ahhh omg, when i saw that i had to hunt and i found one for £17.99 figured was close enough

Had to get myself a pair at that price, bound to be better than the standard IPOD headphones I'm using.

Back up to £49.99, it's my bargain of the year :p

shure or senns tbh

although i have some sony in ear ones i use on my ipod shuffle and they are of a similar standard and excellent value [<£15]

will find the SKU for you in a bit
