Channel 4's 1993 Equinox documentary

Its almost ironic how the success of Mario's appearance is down to hardware limitations. Theres not enough pixels for his hair to fly up as he falls so give him a cap LOL.

Showing my age - remember watching it when originally broadcast :D

I wonder if Zooropa was album of the minute...

Lol, I remember that Sega CD advert......Sega and their console banshing in those days and look where it got them.

Will check that out, cheers!

Did you catch the FIVE TV programme a few months ago all about Elite? That was great too and you can still get it on their website (Episode 3)

Brilliant find.

Elite remains one of, if not the, best achievements in the history of computer games. It was so far ahead of it's time that it made pretty much everything else redundant over night.

It took me weeks to get to Elite on my Dad's BBC but it was well worth it. I can still remember the first time I managed to track down and kill the Constrictor (Galaxy two I think)!

"Playing Sonic the Hedgehog is much like sex or tripping, but neither of these are available to 10 year olds"

As much as I loved Sonic when I was a kid, I wouldn't compare it to either of those!

I actually remember this showing on tv at the time. Me and my mates were talking about it in the canteen que at school. The first time i ever got hooked was sonic 2 on the megadrive. Got so bad, that me mum took it off me! Even today at the age of 28 i find myself slipping into addiction every now and then with gaming. This past 4 months i've been spending way to long in front of the pc. It's got to the point that my sleeping patterns are completley reversed. Thats soon to change though as im expecting my first baby this christmas along with a new job in the new year.
