FARCRY 2 --- Officially , official of official threads! ---

I found the whole game to be laggy, mostly with the mouse.

Irritatingly enough, the first time I played it, it was flawless, now its just awful.

Not tried it with DX9 on this system, but I played it just fine on my daughters PC and thats only got an X1800XT ( I think? )
 
I found out , every time i save or hit F5 it saves a 2.5 meg file into c:/documents/My Games/Far Cry 2/saved games .

That made the game take forever to load a saved game because it was 3.8 gigs of files to load up ,, lol

I sorted the folder by "modified" and deleted all the files except the ones from 11/7/08 .

Now it dosnt take forever to load up that load screen .

Yeah...it is a tad annoying :p

I should clean mine really.

3.8Gig though? How?!

I save rather often...and mines only 512mb :p
 
Whats the point is safe houses to save your houses when you can just hit F5?

When I buy weapons in the armoury where do the weapons go?? I go into the armoury store and there are some guns in there, are they the ones i have, they all look the same?

Is there like a detailed list to choose from or something?

If you buy a primary , secondary and special weapon crate you can take weapons off the wall in the weapons house and put them in the crates .

When you buy a weapons crate is shows up in any safe house , that way you can swap out weapons that start jamming or break .

If you buy all the guns on the list they will be hanging on the walls in the weapons house .

Pull one off the wall and put it in the crate for backup .

And, right out in the middle of nowhere in the desert this happened........gah! lol Where did this come from!! haha Guess ill walk then!

The safe houses can also be used to turn night into day or vice versa, so if you get sick of playing in the dark, goto a safehouse and turn the clock to 7 O'clock am, and it will turn to daylight. Thats what i generally do. On the other hand, it's nice to play in the dark from time to time.

Nope , you pretty much gota take on the world man ! ,, hehe

What i started to do towards the end was , pull up close to the check point and shoot one or 2 and the rest will scatter and try to flank you .

Then you hop back in the truck and haul butt through the check point ,, hehe
 
anyone know how i can change my save game folder to somewhere else? i have my documents folder set to sync with my usb stick, however it is getting a little out of hand, and editing the back script seems silly when i don't want the game saving there anyway
 
I can't see anything obvious in the gamerprofile, so unless you can physically add it in there somehow...I'm not sure.

Have you done it on different games then?
 
I have noticed, aswell as someone else, that when we started playing the game there was no lag, but now there is a lot, and this should only be down to save games, so if anybody could tell us where to find these (in vista) , then that would be appreciated, because i would bet thats whats causing my lagg

Where are Tigers in Africa apart from in a Zoo may I ask :rolleyes:, your the one who needs to get facts right ROFL :p:p
