its the only golden gun I've found so far, mid fight about 5 minutes later I ran out of ammo for it and everyone seemed to have damn shotty's, so I promptly dropped it to pick up a shotgun, meh.

If you hide on a hill & watch they run to the vehicles pretty fast & if you snipe the driver the gunner will jump over the bar & drive, clever stuff I think but spoilt by the nitro fuel they seem to have
 
Finally took the plunge and bought this yesterday and so far I love it!

Millions times better than Crysis both gameplay and looks IMO
 
This is the wost let down game I have played and I wont be playing it untill theres a way to disable the auto spawning..... Im sooooooooooo let down with this game, nothing like far cry 1 at all.
 
Still getting used to it and will keep playing for awhile, but the voice acting of the 2 factions is so shocking! its just way too fast!
 
havent read the whole thread as there is loads to read through so my apoligies if this has been asked or mentioned before:

im getting jerky/ stuttering in far cry 2 with direct x 10 and 9 with AA on and off im using the latest ATI hotfix
Is there a a quick easy solution to fix this as from what i gather this problem is with ATI cards only?

One fix i did try was to turn off the paging file to my second HDD and the stuttering was fixed 90% but that means i have to turn off paging file on/off everytime i want to play far cry2, im sure someone here has found a solution?
 
^ i find it confusing cause i listen and read at the same time with the subtitles, but they just fly though it so i dont know where i am, ;) voices are very low too. should be a separate volume for it.

Indeed, you have to stand facing right towards them and be rather close to hear them clearly.
 
I bought the game 2 days ago, and I'm loving it so far. Sometimes it looks even better than crysis, especially the lighting and that there is full day and night cycle.

On 'infamous' the gunfighting is really hard and you have to watch your back, the AI isn't bad for sure.

As for the respawning, I don't care too much, cause I never go the same way back for a while, since there is so much to explore in this game.

Usually in a FPS I don't exspect a great storyline, so I can live with the rather repetitive gameplay, I just like sneaking around & exploring and good gunfights.

The standard control settings for this game are rather odd, but if you own a good mouse like my G9, you can map the keys to the mouse quite comfortably.

Some design decisions are hard to grasp, like not including leaning or going prone, but overall it's a great game and much better than I exspected after so many negative comments about the game.
 
i end up having to turn it up, and then forget about it until i get in a gunfight a few min later and get a huge fright at the power of the gunshots! :D

You do get tigers in Africa

Kangaroos though? - While I do realize that you are taking the piddle, he did as for more carnivores and... Well, roos are herbivores.

Just thought Id let you know, cos if you are going to knock someone, then at leastget your own facts correct first yeah?

There was rumours they where going to add carnivores actually :)

In a patch I think...would be cool...at least have a toggle option for them.
 
i've searched through the forum, and havnt found a similar problem to mine, so if you don't mind i'l explain it, and if you could help it would be appreciated.

While playing it in dx10 on very high, there are smooth framerates, however after playing for a while it begins to get very lagggy all of a sudden, i mean going from smooth fps to like 1 or 2, basiclly completely freezing for a few seconds, then carrying on for a few seconds, then doing it again, and basically i just have to restart the game... I've played it in dx9 with the same settings, and i dont get the erratic lag, but it's no way near as smooth as dx10... on dx10 its as if the pc saves up all the lag and then just covers you with it....

specs for pc:

4850
e1280 @ 2.6
4gb ram

newest ati driver,

very high settings, no aa , 1280 x1024

help would be appreciated
