Antec P180/82 vs Antec 300

antec 300 IMO, it's actually pretty large, and looks a lot better than the pictures show.
the sizes you've posted is hardly a huge difference either.

Oh right, I thought he was asking whether the case would fit under his desk or something.

If you can live with the plastic door, then the P182 is the best option. Better looking & quieter.

ah, he maybe was......this is why people actually need to type something in there posts and not just numbers really, it helps

Zotac 9600GT(fan is auto speed 4 wire)so runs really quiet as I don't use it for games.
3 Nexus fans at full speed don't make much noise
all three hard drives are quiet
PSU has temp controlled fan and runs quiet
CPU fan is Akasa 4 wire fan and runs quiet AND cools the cpu(max cpu temp never gets above 45).
GPU temp never gets above 45

All the above in a P180/82 and Three Hundred cases are no different noise wise.

spamtastic.

One way of getting free postage :p

I'd still get the P182. I'd don't like how the PSU sits in the 300 (same as my old 900) where the fan is facing upright and dust literally falls into the unit 24/7. Irritating.

Fan doesn't have to face upright, when it's facing down it's also better for cable management. PSU's only need a few mm for the fan, but that might depend on the make of PSU

The Three Hundred is NOT like the 900 at all regarding how the psu mounts.
In the 900 the psu rests on the bottom of the case with NO space under it.
In the Three Hundred there is space under the psu because there are two bits of metal that the psu rests on.
The space between the psu and bottom of the case in enough to let the psu draw air thru it.
Also there are psu's that only have one fan that is on the end that do not need space anyway.
