Hi,
Do the delta case fans on the overclockers webiste have the right information on them?
The 60 mm has a CFM of 37.6 which looks like it could be about right, if not a little bit low. but the 120mm which spins 2800rpm slower is stated at 190cfm, seems really high, is it actually about right?

120MM
- Speed - 4000RPM
- Output - 190 CFM
- Decibels - 59dBA
- Dimensions - 120x120x38
60MM
- Speed - 6800RPM
- Output - 37.6CFM
- Decibels - 46.5dBA
- Dimensions - 60x60x25

I'd say extremely loud doesn't quite cover it.

I've got some papst and panaflo fans that are fairly high powered, nothing on the focus flow deltas. Even they are ridiculously loud at pull pelt. The panaflow is great on a controller though, its silent at 5v and matches the yateloons and other fans I have for airlflow/noise

Brilliant for crazy overclocks on air though :D

Be warned: Deltas are VERY, VERY loud. Extremely powerful and excellent where ultimate airflow at any cost is the objective.

I understand the 120mm FFs to be loud even on a controller, though.

Another 120mm FF delta fan here too ( pardon the pun)

fantastic fan but very very loud
they have a better model too that moves 230 cmf shame no uk etailers stock them

I'm only thinking of one, for the side of the antec 300 case direct onto the motherboard area. or two in the front for high speed air through the case. one should be ok shouldn't it? i generally have music on when the computer is on anyway.

You will need exceptionally loud music, then.

I don't think you really appreciate how loud these things actually are: from all I've seen of them, they would only be remotely practical if:

1) You are deaf
2) Don't mind going deaf
3) Have your computer in a sound-proof box.

ahh. well in that case i might have to see if the guy in the local computer store will show me one running, before i order one.

That is an EFB1212SHE going up through the RPM which isnt as powerful as the one of the OCUK website (a mere 140CFM)

Those are FFB1424UHE :) a mere 370 CFM :)

The ones on the OCUK website are FFB1212EHE which noise wise are somewhere in between the two (closer to the EFB1212SHE)

Here is a list of all the 120mm and under delta fans:

You will have trouble finding a controller that will do more than 10/12 watts comfortably

Music will not cover the sound... when people say they are loud like hoovers they are not lying :) Can here my big deltas over the otherside of the house with doors shut :)

I would recommend some sharkoon silent eagle 2000... nice airflow and still not to loud at full pelt

If you want deltas then get the EFB1212SHE, can be controlled and still pack serious airflow.. you will probably have to order them from the US, last time I got them worked out around £15 / fan inc p+p
