the lack of space given to Pc games is pretty clear to me and the reasons are pretty dam simple:

within a couple of months of even a Big name game it's discounted so there is less profit for the high street shops, therefore they are less inclined to devote shelf space to pc games.
i've seen last years console games still been sold at their original prices, no wonder shops give so much space to console games, thus giving the impression the pc games are a dying format.

my answer- give more discount to the shops for selling console games .

my rant is over....for now ;)

It's because in shops they usually charge double the price you can get it delivered to your door offline simple as that.

They only have themselves to blame.

If you go to the big shops then you only got yourselves to blame, i use a small shop and it rarely costs me anything over what i can get them online for.

Last game I bought on the high street was operation flashpoint on its release date (many many years ago) -- online retailers + digital distributors > leaving the house.

PC gamers are more in the know about online shopping, since they have computers obviously. It's no wonder why no one buys them in stores.

+1 --> PC games take monster systems to run nowadays, and that takes monster geeks, who are often nocturnal.

Thats why you can only find Windows 3.1 versions of Monopoly Interactive kicking about.

Considering a £65 odd 8800GT can still max out new titles I'd say you're wrong. ;)

Heck even at 1920x1200 my 8800GT can max most, struggles on Crysis and Warhead of course however.

I'd say your rig is a pretty high end system though, considering the kind of PC's people buy from superstores etc

True that.

Still though the term "monster PC" can be had for really cheap now in comparison to a few years back, it's quite mad that you can get an 8800GT system for around £250 odd.

I only go in stores now for browsing and with the lack of space given to pc this is quickly becoming pointless.
With internet, magazines and forums like this less and less stuff escapes my attesion now anyways.

I'm always dissapointed when I walk into a video game store to see it 90% filled with console games, bundles and advertising of the latest console release everywhere. Guh, what a waste.

Stores are good fun, if you're bored and just wanna look what there is.
I order 90% of console + PC games from the net, cheaper, easier.

High street shops only have themselves to blame, they over charge, run out of stock, have long queues, mardy staff, chavs in the Que, ect ect
