Record 24 hours and divide by zero
If you meant that as a joke then

If you didn't then dividing by zero wouldn't help, he needs to divide by 1

Record 24 hours and divide by zero
Already been done. You loseRecord 48 hours and divide by 2.
how long's a piece of string?
Or, it's more of a statement than a question....Logic would suggest an answer in the region from 1cm to about 1km due to physical practicalities and manufacturing techniques, however an answer outside of this range is also possible. To quantify the exact length more detail would be required such as in the question "how long is a piece of string if it started at 10metres and was cut in half", leaving the answer 5metres. This answer was found mathmatically and is an example of basic algebra, far more complicated variations on the question could be asked. Overall the point made is that without further defining factors the exact length of the proverbial string can only be estimated.

Try recording 48 hours then divide by 2.
Record 48 hours and divide by 2.
How about you record 0 minutes and stop spying on your sister.

Not always. Rhetoric. The use of the question mark at the end of the text is typically used to define that text as a question, ergo pending an answer.
Lets turn this into 'Whats the most useless CCTV recorded thing you've seen?" thread.
Mine was this evening at 5pm.
We are on a rota to lock the Careers & Skills Academy at the hospital and they've now added CCTV surveillance into it.
Basically after we've checked the building for bodies (which me and my colleague failed miserably) we wait until 5pm and the CCTV comes on recording 4 cameras at the same time.
Because all the lights are off it records black screens
I ran up & down the corridors to see if there's a sensor to turn lights on but it stays black.
I rang my big boss and he said that they still want it recording
Fail 1 - We checked all the rooms upstairs and turned the lights off.
Standing at the bottom we hear footsteps and a lady colleague comes down the stairs.
She had been in the ladies bogs where we hadn't checked.
Fail 2 - We checked up and down the corridors/rooms on the lower floor and now we're waiting for the CCTV to come on.
At about 16:59, 2 workmen walk out of the old reception where they're working.
Another 2 minutes and they would have set the alarms off.
I'm not very good at this Fire Warden malarky.
