Yeah I got it man! Thanks again. A guy from my corp gave me his account that same day so it was good in eve world for me. That's two industrial guys I have now (he already made the toon). That money helped me out a lot, they'll pay for my modulated t2 strip miners. WIN!:D:p

Eve is now easier to learn as the tutorials work, 4 years a go it was a nightmare, btu now, they have got it sorted, you wont learn everything, but you will get the basics if you follow the agents instructions...

Im thinking of making a 2nd account to go pirating for a while, get some revenge on some players without having to use my mining account lol...

I think there have been some 1000 player battles recently that haven't lagged all that much, but as they increase the capabilities and capacities of the server there will be the numbers to saturate the performance, until you can have millions on grid you'll always exceed server performance faster than they can increase it :D

Saying that, imagine 5000 versus 5000 with no lag :D

Was in a 100 vs 100 cap fleet fight on Sunday and not a hint of lag, my graphics card on the otherhand....

I've got to ask, and I really don't mean to "insult" here, but when I used to play, it lagged horrendously. People got used to this, and a "lag free" fight actually meant it just didn't crash or didn't cause anyone to CTD, you were still lucky if your modules activated or your ship moved.

So when people say "lag free" now, do you actually mean really lag free, like you press F1 and it immediately activates the slot, like as if in space on your own, or do you still have to wait?

You lot seen the Quantum Rise trailer? You have to admit the trailers CCP do are impressive, if slightly skewed to the theatrical rather than in game shots.

OMG, that was so exquisitely awesome!

is there a HD version available?

Edit: NVM i found it :D

Yes, pretty much.

Anything to do with commands between the client and the server (module activation, grid loading, warping, etc) has been significantly improved. Alongside this they also have some new extra-powerful nodes but right now the vast majority of system aren't on them. If however you are on one then its perfectly possible to have 700+ people fighting in system and have module activation around 2/3 seconds.

However, having overcome this bottleneck there are other lag problems that have cropped up. The regular nodes tend to run out of memory at around 6/700 people, they used to just crash but now if a node gets too overloaded modules activate quickly but don't autorepeat or deactivate properly. I was in a capital fight of around 600 pilots a few weeks ago and spent the entire thing with my guns flashing red and doing nothing. Same with my siege mod for 45minutes until I died, all the while it only consumed one cycle of stront. Also jumping or logging into a laggy system is unchanged, still results in staring at a loading screen for ages.

However its still a massive improvement, fights of 300ish people are completely lag free even on regular nodes and word is CCP are working on the new issues and getting more hardware :)

They're putting in a new feature that collapses all your weapons into one button so you don't have to press all the F# buttons. I do think you can select more than one enemy with it aswell, not sure.
