Samsung Omnia I900 owners thread.

I need some help here - got my Omnia today, and put loads of music in the 'My Storage' bit (it says 'Removable Disk' in Vista), but now I can't find it on the phone!! It's there when I plug it in, but when I go into the touch player and update, it only finds the 6 files I have for ringtones! The 'My Storage' bit also doesn't show up when I go into File Explorer. Does anyone know where I can find the extra files that I copied across?

Many thanks if you can help!

Have you still got it plugged in when searching for your music??... its like a Sony Ericsson phone when its plugged in you can't browse to the storage card from within the phone!.. you need to unplug it and then it should find the 'Storage Card' drive.

EDIT: Also v annoyed as T-Mobile have removed the Google Maps app!! I know people on here have got TomTom, but I don't want to pay out extra for that as I already have a dedicated TomTom unit! It just would have been nice to have the mapping app on the phone (like it's supposed to!) so I didn't have to take the other unit everywhere!

I immediatly flashed to a non operator firmware, these basicaly remove all the operator crap software and put back the original Samsung stuff.. including Googlemaps!... plus it makes to battery life sooooo much longer!!.. mine went from 1 day (ish) to 4-5 days on standby (and thats with Bluetooth on!!) :)

go back a couple of pages (about page 47 I think) for a guide (by me) on how to flash to the latest (stable) firmware and where to get it from (by Dangerous)...

I can't seem to download any newer ROM's from the linked (by Dangerous) site?!?!?... I'm running HJ1.. is it worth trying HJ5 or shall I wait till HK or HL firmwares?!?...

What about the roumer or a version of Android being made for the Omnia??.. that'd be sweet!!.. (I'd probly not do this for fear of Bricking my Phone!!)
