n95 8gb upgrade woes

n95 8gb upgrade woes (three now trying to charge me for replacement)

High all I currently have a Nokia n95 8gb and I am looking for a replacement phone but im having the same issues as every other n95 user what is a good upgrade as it has everything….

I mainly use the following features on the n95 8gb:

Camera (important)
Video calling
GPS
POP3 email (yahoo / gmail)
Mini usb for data storage
Mp3
Radio

I think I have narrowed it down to the following:

Lg kc910 renoir

Black berry storm (I know the camera is a down grade buti just like it for some reason)

G1 / Omnia??????


Dose anyone have any views on the above or recommend something else?

well after an 1.5 hour argument with three network about them charging me double with hidden (video pack that they did not tell me about) i have managed to get them to right off my contract 10months left credit my account and got a customised contract:

free LG kc910 renoir

600min any network
100 texts (dont really use them but i might send one)
unlimited land line calls anytime
unlimited 3 to 3 calls
unlimited internet

all for £22 including vat:D:D

should keep me happy for next 18 months although i might have to keep this contract for longer.
 
Oh dear,you'll be sending the LG back I promise you. I wouldnt have any phone with LG on it even given to me.
 
Seriously are lg that bad?

My dad liked his viewity a lot and he only went for the SE P series and said that the Lgwas a lot better…


Has anyone use the renoir? If its real bad I might have to sell it on and buy something else as im not going to get the same deal on the contract being a new customer on another network.

Doh now im hoping it gets lost in the post
 
the viewty's are awful, just take a look at some of the treads on here :( unresponsive touchscreen, rubbish camera with slow focus, some of the forget the camera settings, no support AT ALL (not one firmware update released - how many has the n95 had? ). I got rid of mine, my boss got rid of his, my friend got rid of his.........

they are not good at all :/

Well after a long argument with three they offered me a new upgrade phone and deal see OP.

But after using the sim I noticed that the unlimited land line calls and unlimited internet were not added and three are saying that there was no note on the account to add them and there is nothing I can do to sort it. But they will not check the phone records even though I have given a date and time….


So I have asked to cancel the contract after 3 days from the upgrade. But they have said because I have turned the phone on they will check and if I have gone through the phone setup system (ie the first thing you do when you turn on a new phone) I will have to pay for the full cost of the phone.

Surley this is not correct I though with any electrical goods you can return them within 7 days for any reason in this country?
 
Check your contract for a cooling of period, iirc 7 days,
Try to claim distance selling regulations.

And go/ring Citizens Advice Bureau or your solicitor for advice :)
