Had a longer go today and really enjoying it, just ordered it for £20, I don't mind waiting 3 extra days if I save a tenner

No tactics? Are you having a laugh? There is no way you can just run and gun your way through it on expert. You will die.
Love the game but there needs to be individuality to the characters otherwise what's the point may as well just be blobs.
Like Bill should maybe be slower but have more health and a special move maybe a bullet time or something etc etc.
I know I'll get flak for saying that but I just think a special move or some form of individuality would go a long way, as it stands I'd be bored after playing through the game twice.

How would bullet time work in a 4 player online co-op game?
same way as it does in the matrix online I guess.
But I dunno how they did that anyway, so I'll shut up.
The time you shoot the zombies off of you so has the other 3 players so its not like your helping people out. The only thing i felt like we did together was follow each other. Later levels may be better but on the demo its not for me

Not sure what game you were playing but without some form of strategy, you will die. L4D isn't an RTS so of course its not going to be that sort of deep tactics being used. If one member of the group goes off and is out of sight, the whole game could be over right there. All it takes is a hunter or a smoker to grab you.
You fail at playing the game.
play with people you know rather than randoms, much better experience.
How do i fail? We all played in a group and used comms which pretty much was im surrounded give us a hand to which everyone else said the same thing.
You go into an area where 50 zombies run fro every direction and surround each of the 4 players. Im sorry i dislike a game you like but please dont say i fail

Maybe if you used tactics your group wouldn't be surrounded by zombies.
As soon as you hit an area they run from everywhere. Im trying tonight with some team members so i hope to have a better experience but the guys i played with on the pc and 360 where decent enough. Also instead of moaning at me give me some direction in how we should progress as a team through the game
My advice would be to shoot as many zombies as you can and don't get hit.

crank up the difficulty, stick together and take your time.. join the ocuk l4d steam group if you havent already.

When a horde comes after your group, back up into a corner, 2 guys duck, 2 guys stand. They don't stand a chance. Never go off on your own, even if its to back track, the ai will spawn a hunter or a smoker to get you. If you use the right tactics, you should never find yourself stuck in the middle of a horde.
