Hi, was wondering if anyone could suggest a mp3 player for me. Im looking to spend around £200 and it must be over 30Gb storage and must work on Vista. I was looking at the Archos 605 WiFi but though i should get other peoples opinions before i press that buy button!

thanks

Yeah mobile phones are awful mp3 players. Good if you dont really use it a lot i guess. Was looking at the Zune before also seems they are only out in the states just now though?

There is a retailer in the UK which sells them. Got mine from there a few months ago for £200. Love it :)

Yeah seen that one you are on about £200 is such a mark up when you see them going for £140 in the US. Theres some on on the bay that meets in the middle of these.. might check that out. They do look so good and have all the functionality and considering i just broke my current mp3 player (bricked it during a firmware update) the temptation is too high as this was meant to be a Christmas present.

Funnily enough, i got an archos 605 wifi yesterday, its great so far :)

Loving the internet browser on it (£20 extra)

It's not actually that bad a mark if you think about it... Shipping is gonna be about £20 insured from the US in decent time, and then you've got duty which will push it fairly close, as well as parcelfarces £7 storage charge :/

We don't call them 'mp3 players' anymore.

The correct term is 'iPod'

;)

Get out.:)

Do Cowon still make decent mp3 players? I've had this iRiver H120 for 5 years now and can't find anything that can match its features. Last time I looked Cowon were the best bet, is this still the case?

That does look quite cool. What's the portability like?

Tis quite big and heavy but fits in my pocket fine, unless you have unusually small pockets then its fine. I use it mostly for my car, in a satnave screen mount type contraption

Yep, the cowon d2 was a strong contender for me.

I have a Cowon D2 16GB + DAB and a Cowon iAudio 7 16GB - they are both awesome players - the sound quality is amazing IMHO and they both play flac!!

With an additional 32Gb CDHC Card the D2 hits nearly 50Gb which is more than enough for a few days of flac's.

Khushy
