Well, I for one thought it was far better than I was expecting.
It physically made me laugh out loud about 10 times during play.
When the Zombies rush you, it makes you panic, AHHHHHH lol
Brilliant fun, though after a couple of run throughs, the novelty started to wear off.
So, I considered ordering it... but, it's too expensive for what it is.
If it had a proper single player story to play through ala Half Life 2, I'd be straight in there, but, I started to make the order, to find out how much tax it would be, then ran it through xe.com

£35 is too expensive. That's with the $5 off for this week too.
I don't know what's up with Steam pricing, but it's always so much more than PC games cost from online stores. Depending on the game, or if it's just a few quid in it, I grin and bear it, but in this instance, I find that price ridiculous.
If they do a special weekend, and sell it for £15-£20, I'll be all over it, but for now, I'll pass. I rarely pay that much for console titles. I guess I'm just used to paying less for PC titles, and again, this just didn't feel like it was worth full price. It's a good fun, action arcade game. As such, I don't think it should cost more than the likes of Half Life 2 etc, with full single player campaigns.
Just my 2p.
Shame, but I'll pick it up again when it's cheaper.
Vin.
EDIT: Right, I just visited one online store, so it's probably not the cheapest, I just went there to see if it was available on disk. So, you can get it from the rainforest for £19.99 on DVD.
Practically half price (when the $5 discount runs out at the end of the week)
HALF PRICE? If I shop around, I may find it cheaper. I bought Crysis on launch day for £15, and UT3 as well... this is why I think £35 for this is way too much. £20 works though.
If you buy "Steam" games on disk from a store, and install it, you can integrate them with Steam, yes? Is it complete? What I mean is, if I install Left4Dead from DVD, and add it to Steam, does it then no longer require the disk in the drive to play, and auto download patches from Steam, and integrate with Steams online service/friends list, etc?
I've no idea, as I've actually bought every game from Steam direct. But in this case, if I can get it for half price, and not lose any of the benefits to Steam, besides the simplicity of downloading it in the first place I'd tempted to buy the retail instead, and do that.
