How did you go about it?

All I've done so far is registered my 260 on the BFG site, and in the email that I forwarded with the recepit, I asked how I go about getting my promised copy. They haven't replied yet.

It's party the reason I went for BFG, so would be nice to see them follow up on what was offered.

btw. 260 216 core pwns, made the right choice :D

when they send the link to say your product is registered go back to the site log in and then claim the free game the only thing i cant find is about the free vantage code.

Hi

Posted a similar question a couple of days ago.

I think you will find all three items come together (IE. game, Vantage code and torch).

Did you realise though that EVGA are offering FarCry2 as well?

Though I to bought a BFG card.

Isn't the torch only available to the US? same as the lifetime warranty

Hi... can't find anywhere on their WEB site that says that. So I'm assuming that I will get one. Not like I would be too upset if I did not.

The reason that I originally posted about this, is that the WEB site you are pointed to (by the Etailer/s) is an American one. So I think you need to make sure you put "UK" in your address. I'm just a little surprised that both pieces of software are not just "downloads". As it is, it's going to cost BFG a fortune in postage I would think. Though I think they have a UK repair centre now, so suppose it could be posted from there!

Would not like to think (unlikely I suspect) that OCuk etc. have it wrong and that it's purely an American offer! As you say... the lifetime warranty and in fact their step-up program is America only!!!

Think I would be a bit annoyed if nothing turns up!!!

BFG Email said:
It is available to anybody in the US who has purchased a GTX 200 series card since 10/22/2008. BFG is fulfilling these orders through the registration page. For a customer to be sent the bundle (within 2-3 weeks), they need to have the following completed:

1) Card must be registered through www.bfgtech.com

2) Proof of Purchase must be submitted and entered, showing a clear date
of 10/22/08 or later.

3) Once the email telling them POP has been entered, they need to login
to their profile again on www.bfgtech.com, go to MyProducts, then click on the link for “Get Far Cry 2 Bundle”. This link will allow them to edit their address if need be, and then order the bundle.

Just got the above from BFG. Looks like US only.

Maybe someone from OCuk could shed some light on this!?

Though I can't imagine a reputable company like OCuk running this promotion if it did not apply to us UK buyers.... otherwise I think there would be a fair few disgruntled customers.

PS. Just checked their site again and no where can I see it says US only.

on the box it says "lifetime warranty" however on the small print it says 10 years for uk however what are the chances your still be using the card in 10 years time?

Can't be US only or OCUK wouldn't be advertising it.

Aren't they just giving it away with their cards, that's nothing to do with BFG is it?

With BFG you have to register your card, you then get the option to request FarCry 2 and Vantage through their website.

I've emailed BFG again asking to confirm whether it's a US only offer.

Nope... OCuk says to register with BFG etc. etc.

I've just Emailed BFG to confirm the situation myself and I'll post the reply (so I wouldn't bother doing it yourself, unless you want to).

PS. Just had a quick look and can't find any other O/L retailer running this promotion.

Looks like good news folks.

Just got this prompt reply from BFG:

Dear ******,
I have not heard of any limitations on where we are shipping the bundles to.
You should be able to receive the bundle in the UK without a problem.

Thank you,

Nice to see someone's support division can actually provide decent / promote feedback.

Stu

I think the very first poster pretty much answered the original query. But the thread, as threads do, diverged slightly.

Re- POV. Damn, I fancy both these games. I suspect we will see more of this coming up to Christmas. Especially with the current exchange rate, a way to slightly offset the increased price of the graphics cards (and pretty much all components). Certainly glad I bought mine a couple of weeks ago, as it's gone up another £30!!!

Thanks...
