My bank account has been dry for a bit, nothing coming in, everything going out.

I now have a job earning cash which suits me fine but I have a crap load of £20 notes which I don't feel easy keeping in my house when there's so many ways of it being lost.

My question. When will questions start being asked if I start depositing say £100 a week in or a large sum of something like £500.

Is there a limit before they start asking questions?

Fanks homoeos.

No, but the bank may report you to Inland Revenue if suddenly (relatively) large amounts of money suddenly appear. But of course, you'll declare all your earnings so the bank's report and the Inland's records will match up :)

I can't imagine anyone batting an eyelid at a mere £500, heck you can withdraw that much via ATM from a couple of accounts in a single day.

It may not be so trivial if he is self employed and 'bending the books' as it were. If not, they wont care.

Nah it's far more innocent than that :p I'm just doing some work for a friend. Jimmy's dad, floyd, got beat up by tyrone who wanted cash for last weeks deal so I gotta cover for him for a while.
